Seat Hold Features in Sevenrooms
A seat hold in a TMS allows restaurants to manage reservation availability by reserving specific tables or time slots for select guests, such as VIPs, regulars, or members.
Sevenrooms
In SevenRooms, Access Rules are a powerful tool that allows you to control reservation availability by defining who can book, when, and where. This feature is particularly useful for managing Avvail access.

📌 Additional Tips
- Multiple Access Rules: If you offer various experiences (e.g., indoor dining, outdoor patio, private rooms), create separate access rules for each to manage them effectively.
- Capacity Management: Remember that the shift pacing settings override access rule pacing. If the shift is set to allow 12 covers, you cannot exceed this number through access rules. (Access Rules in Seven rooms)
